Apply to be a guest

What happens when you apply

1. Apply to be a part of the podcast

When you apply to be a guest on the podcast, someone from Peak (or one of our partners) will get in touch with you. We’ll ask you to complete a form so we can learn more about you and the themes you’d like to explore during the podcast.

2. Meet the host

As part of the podcast process, we conduct a pre-interview. The pre-interview gives you a chance to meet the podcast’s host, Holly Clarke. During the pre-interview, we’ll get to know you a little better and plan the episode together.

3. Get your episode brief

We’ll issue an episode brief for your episode. The brief will confirm:

  • The date and time of your recording
  • Instructions of where to be (if recording in-person) and what to do
  • Introduction script: the script we present at the beginning of each episode to introduce you
  • If you’re recording your episode remotely, your episode brief will include instructions and a link to Riverside (a platform that’s used to remotely record your episode)

Please note that, while we’ll provide an outline of how we’ll explore the themes, we don’t share all of the questions in advance. This is to ensure the conversation feels authentic and that our host has the opportunity to ask follow-up questions and explore where they go.

4. Make sure you’re happy with the episode

Once we’ve recorded your episode, it will be sent to our editors. They’ll make sure the best moments in your episode make the final cut. There will be two versions of your episode:

  • 30-minute version will be made available via podcast platforms and YouTube
  • A longer format version of the episode will be made available to subscribers.

Each format will be made available to you before it’s published. When your episode is published to podcast and video platforms, it will include a:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Additional text for video thumbnails
  • Any images of you that will be used for the podcast

This will be shared with you in advance of the episode’s publication to make sure you’re happy with it before it’s published.

5. Share your story

Once you’re happy with the episode, we’ll send it out into the world. We’ll tell you the date and time it’s published.

You can expect your episode to be published on:

  • Spotify (audio only)
  • Apple Podcasts (audio only)
  • YouTube (video and audio)
  • LinkedIn (video and audio)
  • Peak’s website (video and audio)

We love getting your story out there. You can help by promoting the episode on your personal social media. We’ll provide you with all the details to make it easy.

Your episode will be promoted on Peak’s social media and to people who have subscribed to marketing emails from Peak. We will also write a blog about your episode, summarising the key points.

6. Making headlines

As a leading AI company, we have relationships with news and industry media journalists. We’d love the opportunity to share your story far and wide, so we’ll let you know if we think your story could reach the press. We’ll only publish your story to media once we’ve got your expressed permission.

Let's face it, face-to-face is just better

We'd love to meet you in-person

We prefer to record episodes in-person, so we get the opportunity to meet you face-to-face and we can get a quality recording without the risk of any pesky internet issues.

The podcast is recorded in Manchester, UK. If you live locally or you’re willing to travel, please consider recording the episode in-person.

Depending on the date of your podcast and your location, we may be able to pay for (or reimburse you for) your travel costs.
